We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account information: Your email address when you sign up or request a magic link login.
- Profile information: Your name, company name, role, LinkedIn URL, startup stage, sector, bio, and other details you enter in your member profile.
- Funding profile: Your industry sector selections and funding preferences you provide in the funding profile quiz.
- Network data: LinkedIn connection exports (CSV files) you voluntarily upload to the Network Miner feature. This data is stored in your account and used solely to facilitate intro path discovery for you.
- Communications: Messages, intro requests, and any other content you submit through the platform.
- Payment information: If you purchase a membership, payment details are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.
We also automatically collect certain information when you use our platform, including:
- Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL)
- Device information
- Usage analytics through privacy-friendly analytics tools
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your member account
- Provide access to membership features including the Funding Hub, Network Miner, and Founder Registry
- Match you with relevant funding opportunities based on your profile
- Facilitate introduction requests between members
- Send you transactional emails including magic links, intro notifications, and membership updates
- Send you our newsletter and platform updates (you may unsubscribe at any time)
- Process membership payments
- Improve and develop our platform
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
- Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the platform, including Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure), Stripe (payment processing), and Resend (email delivery). These providers are bound by data processing agreements and may only use your data to provide services to us.
- Other members (limited): When you submit an introduction request, your name and the context of your request is shared with the connector member you identified. Your public registry profile (if enabled) is visible to other members.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or comply with a government request.
- Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
LinkedIn connection data you upload is retained only for as long as you maintain an active account and can be deleted at any time by contacting us.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how our platform is used. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect platform functionality, including your ability to stay logged in.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
- Portability: Request a machine-readable export of your data
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send

Our platform contains links to third-party websites and resources, including funding programs, tools, and sponsor offerings. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
9. Children's Privacy
Our platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

Our platform operates primarily in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using our platform, you consent to this transfer.
